Key Message board

Dear Parents and Carers
We hope you are well and keeping safe. As we reach the end of week three I would like to thank you for your incredible efforts with home learning. Please take a moment to look at the quality and range of learning that the children have completed in the newsletter. The attendance at our live zoom sessions has been great and you will receive an invite next week for another session.

During this time, our priority is the safety of children and staff and their familiesThe rate of infection remains very high in Hounslow.  Covid spreads when people mix together.

Hounslow now has the highest infection rate in London which is extremely concerning.   Please remember to:

  • Follow the government’s rules
  • Please think very carefully about sending your child to school during this time

The larger the numbers of pupils in school the more staff we need and the greater the risk of transmission. Please read the quote (below) from Kelly O’Neil Director of Public Health

I encourage everyone to stay at home, stay safe and protect the NHS. Please follow the government guidance. Thank you for your continued support.

School will remain partially open for Keyworker and vulnerable pupils.

Thank you.

Ms Nadine O'Hara - Headteacher

Important message from the director of Public health

Kelly O’Neill (Hounslow Council’s Director of Public Health) â€śAround one in thirty people in London are currently infected with COVID-19. In Hounslow, where 49 people died with COVID-19 in December alone, the picture is just as stark and the number of deaths due to the increased numbers of cases of infection and people requiring hospital care will increase in January. This current very high rate of infection in our borough is increasing fast- as the Prime Minister said when announcing their closure - schools can act as vectors for the virus. Right now, we need to keep doing everything we can to stop the virus from spreading. We agree with the Government’s decision to close schools and for schools to only stay open for those pupils who are in the greatest need; this emergency measure will help schools to maintain a safe environment for children and staff.
