Engaging in community service provides children and adults with the opportunity to become active members of their community and has a lasting, positive impact on society at large. Community service or volunteerism enables everyone to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a service to those who need it most.

Ms Charles authorises Hounslow to release vouchers to eligible families as soon as they are made available, usually a month in advance of one of the holidays.

Using a Robust AAC with Non/ Minimally Speaking Autistic/GLP Children workshop (Recording)

October is AAC Awareness Month and Ali Battey (AAC specialist SaLT) has kindly given us permission to reshare the recording of her workshop that we hosted in April 2025.

Availability of the recording: until 1^st of November 2025.
Purpose of workshop: to provide information about gestalt language processing (most autistic children are GLPs) and how to use a robust AAC to support non/ minimally speaking autistic children/GLPs

We place great importance on our links with various local community groups.

Green Dragon Primary School greatly enjoy the opportunity to help others and they rise to the challenge of supporting children and adults (as well as animals) in need, locally, nationally, and globally.

In recent years we have collected funds for charities such as Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Nurses, Comic relief, to name but a few.

We have forged strong links with the local community centre and regularly visit Brentford Stadium for events.
